An Old Song

Yesterday evening, I stumbled across a favorite old song of mine: "He Looked Beyond My Fault and Saw My Need." Here is the story behind the song. The lyrics are below. Exquisite!

Amazing grace shall always be my song of praise,
for it was grace that bought my liberty;
I do not know just why He came to love me so,
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.

I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary,
to view the cross where Jesus died for me,
how marvelous the grace that caught my falling soul;
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.

I still receive questions about two, somewhat uncommon songs that were sung at our wedding. They are "The Love of God," and "O Love That Will Not Let Me Go."

I love a good hymn!

Truly a great song, but the sad thing is that the song writer Dottie Rambo died in a bus crash a few weeks ago.
